Sunday 2nd June will see the beginning of monthly Farmer’s Markets in Darlington Town Centre.
Darlington Markets are launching Farmer’s Markets in the town centre on the first Sunday of the month, with the first one being held this Sunday (2nd June) from 10am – 3pm. A selection of artisan food producers will be coming to West Row, offering cheeses, sauces, fudge, cheesecakes, jams and street foods.
Market Manager Alex Nicholson said “Darlington Indoor Market has an excellent selection of fresh food and produce but does not open for trade on Sundays. MAM want to supplement this offer with a monthly artisan Farmer’s Market which offers something a little bit different. This will be held on a monthly basis. We are confident the demand is there and hope the people of Darlington will support the traders as we grow and develop the market”.
The Farmer’s Market marks the first in a series of new events MAM are putting on in Darlington Town Centre. We are also launching Pease Pudding night markets, starting at 4pm on Thursday 6th June in the Market Square. The Pease Pudding Markets will be monthly street food events, capturing the spirit of the extremely popular Food and Drink Festival, and bringing food and entertainment to the town centre on a monthly basis.
