Darlington Market Events
After being postponed on the 13th October due to unsafe wind levels, Darlington’s World Food Day Market went ahead this weekend. We have not had too much luck with the weather, as the morning saw an unseasonably cold start with the first snow of the season, but the Market went ahead along West Row and inside the Covered Market.
Rumours that Darlington Market is haunted will prove true this Halloween when we play host to a whole load of spooky goings on!
Following the popularity of the Cool Science Slime Shows over the Food Festival weekend, we’re excited to announce that Cool Science is coming back with two spooky science shows and three Halloween sessions in the Covered Market between 9am and 4pm on Wednesday 31st October.
Following the success of the Food and Drink Festival ‘Darlo Dines Out’ in May, Darlington Markets is excited to announce they will be hosting a one-day event on Saturday 13th October and will be welcoming a range of exciting food and drink traders to the Town Centre to celebrate all things Foodie.
Darlington’s town centre will come alive with the tastes, smells and products of Continental Europe – and beyond – when the traditional European street and craft fair arrives in town.

The Market Hall is open Monday to Saturday from 8am until 5pm.
The Outdoor Market is held on Mondays and Saturdays, 8am to 5pm.
