Darlington Market has numerous opportunities for traders to come and join its events throughout 2020. We look forward to welcoming new and existing traders to Darlington at both our events and also our weekly markets. Weekly markets are held every Monday, Thursday and Saturday throughout the year. To trade you will require all relevant paperwork including Public Liability Insurance (£5million) and for food traders all the relevant hygiene certificates and food safety awards. We only accept 4**** and 5***** hygiene ratings.
Darlington Market is partnering with local artist Becky Sunter from the Weaving Rooms to facilitate a new Wool Fair in the North East. Darlington wool expert Becky has been running the Weaving Rooms in town since 2017 and has been spinning her magic for over 20 years. Specialising in weaving, dying and spinning techniques to celebrate wool she creates wearable pieces and exhibits her work at events nationwide.
Darlington Market is pleased to announce that the Farmer’s Markets will restart in March after a short winter break. Following the success of the newly formed event last year, traders are looking to return to Darlington town centre for 2020. The markets will be held on the first Sunday of the month March to October, with the first one being held on Sunday,1st March, from 10am – 3pm.
Sales of vinyl records have enjoyed a constant growth in recent years. Collectors and traders from across the north-east will be gathering at Darlington Market for three record fairs in 2020 following the success of the first events, organised by Darlington MAM Ltd and The Record Shed in Darlington. Record sellers have requested more dates for 2020 with 28th March being the first of 3 events to be programmed. The market hall offers a town centre location to sell, buy and swap records between collectors, buyers and sellers from across the North East.
The Market Asset Management team are celebrating having scooped a prestigious national award for ‘Best Small Speciality Market’ at the NABMA conference for the Pease Pudding Markets held in Darlington town centre last year.
Following a successful launch of Sunday Farmer’s Markets, Darlington Market is looking forward to its first Pease Pudding Market
Thursday 6nd June will see the beginning of monthly Pease Pudding night markets in the Market Square, with street food, entertainment and speciality stalls, capturing the spirit of the popular Food Festival in a monthly market.

The Market Hall is open Monday to Saturday from 8am until 5pm.
The Outdoor Market is held on Mondays and Saturdays, 8am to 5pm.
