Farmgate sells through an EPOS-based sales and stock control system. Product display is a combination of self-serve and serve-over counters with standalone ambient displays. Farmgate provides Shoppers with an online order and ‘Click ‘n Collect’ locker collection facility supplemented by a home delivery service.

All levels of the building are DDA-accessible as per Part M of the Building Regs and the Equality Act. Design provision is made for disabled Traders and Staff as well as Shoppers. Changes of level are avoided or manifested with tactile surfaces for signage as necessary with internal floor surfaces non-slip and graded for easy access for mobility-impaired users..
The Public WCs at both levels are management-maintained with opening hours tailored to the sales floor and Temperate Garden. The unisex WCs for disabled persons are RADA key-controlled and accessible from the sales floor lobby. The Enterprise Haven and mezzanine are accessible by DDA-compliant lift and the staffed Customer Care point in the lobby is provided has a rest and information area for the elderly. Access to the ATMs, collection lockers and Enterprise Haven is via the lobbies. Traders are provided with dedicated WC provision in the production area and management staff with locker room and changing facilities.
A login-enabled guest WiFi service is available in public areas with secure WiFi and high speed broadband for all Traders. 24/7 real-time CCTV and footfall monitoring of the building is available online for traders and the office/workshop pods each have access to secure high speed broadband and WiFi.
All areas of the building are covered with comprehensive security and fire protection systems with a PA/VA Tannoy and key fob system used to control ‘back of house’ areas. The security systems, fire alarm and CCTV recording systems are monitored locally and remotely 24/7.
