Calling all Food Festival fans – Join us for a jam packed Darlington Food and Drink Festival 2019!

The table is now set for the award-winning Food and Drink Festival which will return between Friday 3rd May and Monday 6th May 2019 – a fun day out for foodies and all the family!

The festival is great for locals as well as visitors from further afield who are looking for some great tastes. Feastivities will begin with the food court opening on the Friday leading into a weekend packed full of fun and laughter with mouth-watering food and drink. Peter Barron compering and overseeing the event so nothing will be missed.

The festival has a demonstration area which will feature fabulous demos from local companies:

Saturday 4th May

12pm to 1pm – Olumo Continental Foods

1.30pm to 2.30pm – Mercure Hotel

3pm to 4pm – Mercure Hotel

6pm to 9pm – Darlington Jazz Festival

Sunday 5th May

10.30am to 4pm – Rockcliffe Hall

Monday 6th May

10.30am to 11.30am – Food 4 Thought

12pm to 1pm – Olumo Continental Foods

1.30pm to 2.30pm – Quaker Gin Distillery Masterclass

The market stalls will give you a chance to browse, sample and buy products as well as buying some delicious street food and drink to enjoy whilst at the festival.

Darlington’s Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of local food and drink and is a fun day out for all the family with something to suit all ages and food preferences, including vegan and gluten-free food!

Some of the exhibitors you can expect to see at the festival will include: The Chilli Jam Man, The Frizzante Man, Spud Gun Loaded Fries, Love on the Goa, Haworth Gin Events, Little Red Pizza Shop, Le Mini Macaron, the Scottish Bee Company and many more!

As well as the great variety of exhibitors, there will also be plenty of live entertainment by the Jazz Festival for all to enjoy. For the little ones, there is also children’s entertainment, including face painting, entertainer (Tolf Rolf), singing chefs/waiters and burger making workshops with Junior Kitchen and Mulholland.

Live music will feature local bands and artists, providing a perfect atmosphere for a fantastic food festival. The Jazz Festival will take place alongside the festival in the town with special performances from The Northern Monkey Brass Band, Sebastiaan De Krom and the BBC’s big band trumpeter Martin Shaw!
