Spinning the Decks in Darlington
Sales of vinyl records have enjoyed a constant growth in recent years. Collectors and traders from across the north-east will be gathering at Darlington Market for three record fairs in 2020 following the success of the first events, organised by Darlington MAM Ltd and The Record Shed in Darlington. Record sellers have requested more dates for 2020 with 28th March being the first of 3 events to be programmed. The market hall offers a town centre location to sell, buy and swap records between collectors, buyers and sellers from across the North East.
Darlington Market offers traders a platform to sell as part of a pop-up event or on longer-term contracts, the pop-up events bring new life to the building and showcases the versatility of the site as a great events space.
Richard Brooks, co-owner of the Record Shed explains “The record fair is an event where all the record collectors come together, it’s a great way for us all to find and sell records. We attract traders who specialise in certain genres of music, others have rare/limited edition vinyls that people want to add to their collections. Our events are free to visit and there are lots of experts coming to help people find what they are looking for.”
